I tend to think that people in politics, though they have different perspectives, are trying their best.  I no longer believe that President Obama and his people are acting in good faith.  They are partisan hacks.  It is all they have ever been, and it is all they ever will be — because it is all they want to be.  Nothing more.  And, America is suffering because of that shallowness. Last week, I detailed how the Administration is attacking the West on “wilderness” issues.  (Its attack on the economies of the Republican Intermountain West has nothing to do with the environment and everything to do with electoral politics).  A few weeks before that, I predicted that the Republican Gulf Coast states would start receiving the same treatment.  In other words, their red state economies would be attacked, in order to please blue state voters.
